Collaboration Opportunities with Israeli Blockchain Innovations - 8 Sep 2020

 

SGTech organised the second edition of  virtual networking webinars with the Israeli Trade Mission in Singapore on 8 Sep 2020. The webinar provided an overview of Singapore’s and Israel's Blockchain ecosystem.  

Close to 50 participants, comprising of senior business leaders and business development professionals in Singapore, and representatives from 9 Israeli blockchain companies participated in this virtual networking webinar. 

Mr Kevin Pang, Co-chair of SGTech’s Blockchain Committee presented on Singapore’s Blockchain Ecosystem Landscape Map and how Singapore’s government has been supporting the non-financial use of blockchain as an inherent technology in enterprise Digital Transformation plans across industries. The Landscape Map features notable local blockchain companies and initiatives leading the development of blockchain technology in a variety of industries. It serves as a good guideline for organisations seeking companies that provide blockchain solutions to their specific needs. 

 

Mr Igal Nevo, CEO of The Israeli Blockchain Forum, gave an overview of the Israel blockchain ecosystem and presented statistics of Israel’s blockchain industry. With over 130 blockchain companies, Israel’s blockchain industry has raised a total of USD$2.1B in investments. 36.57% of these companies have also released their products or solutions into the market. He also presented the main regulatory opportunities for Blockchain companies in Israel, such as the regulatory sandbox, open banking, crypto stock exchange and STO licensing.  

 


In the next part of the webinar, Israeli blockchain companies presented their solutions and areas of interest where they are seeking collaboration partners. The Israeli blockchain companies that presented were: 

The participants were ushered to a virtual networking session after the presentations. Representatives from the Singaporean and Israeli companies mingled virtually and had discussions on collaboration opportunities with potential partners.
