Collaboration Opportunities with Israeli Cyber Innovations - 9 June 2020
SGTech Cyber Security Chapter organised its first virtual networking webinar with the Israeli Trade Mission in Singapore on 9 June 2020. The webinar provided an overview of Israel's Cyber Security Ecosystem Landscape, the Israel National Cyber Directorate and support and services provided by the Singapore-Israel Industrial Research and Development Foundation (SIIRD) programme.
Close to 70 participants, comprising senior business leaders and business development professionals in Singapore and representatives from 10 Israeli companies participated in this virtual networking webinar.
Mr Yoav Saidel, Head of Economic & Commercial Mission of the Israeli Economic and Trade Mission to Singapore, briefed the audience on the Cyber Security landscape in Israel and described why Cyber Security is one of the most vibrant sectors among Israeli startups when it comes to innovation.

Ms Lee Si Hui, Senior Manager at the Singapore-Israel Industrial R&D Foundation (SIIRD) shared with the audience how SIIRD seeks to promote research and development in Singapore and Israel by helping Singapore-based and Israel-based companies with R&D Partner Search, and providing up to US$1M in funding for joint R&D projects between them.

The participants were hosted to a virtual networking session after the presentations. Representatives from the Singapore and Israeli companies mingled in the virtual networking lounge to have discussions with the companies they are interested to partner.
