SGTech and Singapore Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Partner to Accelerate Digital Transformation Among Micro and Small Businesses

On 19 August 2021, SGTech signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Singapore Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SICCI) marking the start of a two-year partnership to accelerate digital transformation among micro and small businesses in order to achieve sustainable business growth.
“We are delighted to find a partner in SICCI who feels strongly about helping their member companies walk and succeed on their digital journey. Complementing SICCI’s deep knowledge and understanding of its members, SGTech is happy to play the role of a horizontal enabler – leveraging the expertise of our members in tech, to support SICCI member companies in their digitalisation efforts,” said SGTech Chairman Mr Wong Wai Meng
The partnership with SICCI starts with initiatives led by SGTech’s Cloud & Data Chapter. The shift to cloud-based services and technologies has started for some time, and it is important to empower businesses to meaningfully adopt cloud technology and avoid being left behind.
Mr Gunasekharan Chellappan, Chairman of SGTech’s Cloud & Data Chapter, shared the 3-step programme for SICCI members:
- An educational series to introduce the topic of cloud and data literacy to companies and supplement with information on government grants;
- Further education on essential business functions enabled through cloud such as e-commerce, e-delivery and payroll;
- Training for companies that are interested and ready to adopt cloud solutions.
SGTech is excited to collaborate with SICCI to co-create new possibilities and bring mutual benefits to our member companies, particularly in this challenging period. SGTech members can look forward to opportunities to contribute to the above in the coming months.
