SGTech's First SME's Go Digital Vendor Briefing - 3 May 2019

On 3 May 2019, 134 participants gathered at the Lifelong Learning Institute for Infocom Media (ICM) vendors to find out how they can get their solutions featured in the list of pre-approved solutions in the SMEs Go Digital Programme.

[The participants were briefed by SGTech’s Ms Alicia Bok [Left], who gave the overview and requirements needed for vendors to prepare for their pre-approval application. The SGTech SGD Committee Chair, Mr Adrian Long, also encouraged vendors to connect with one another through SGTech to leverage on each other’s capabilities]

The SMEs Go Digital Programme (SGD) reduces the barriers for end-user SMEs to go digital in their business. As many SMEs have neither the time nor the expertise to evaluate solutions, the list of pre-approved solutions simplifies the buying process so that they need only to select from that list.

With more than 200,000 SMEs in Singapore, making it into the pre-approved list is a great opportunity for ICM vendors to quickly reach potential customers.

As IMDA’s appointed partner to administer the programme, SGTech conducts monthly vendor briefings and assists in the submission of the vendor self-assessment checklist – the first steps in the application process.

Furthermore, SGTech leverages our ecosystem of member-partners who can help vendors to level up their existing solutions. For example, Ms Karine Lim from Microsoft shared at the briefing how Microsoft can help vendors move their existing solutions to the cloud.

[Ms Karine Lim, Territory Channel Manager from Microsoft, provided findings of their research on the challenges and opportunities of local SMEs wanting to digitalise]
